CRM 502 - Miscarriages of Justice This course examines the causes and consequences of the wrongful conviction of innocent individuals within the American criminal justice system. The course focuses on three broad topics: 1. The flaws and mistakes that can lead to the wrongful conviction of innocent people; 2. The mechanisms by which these mistakes are brought to light and remedies that can reduce their occurrences; and 3. The consequences of a wrongful conviction for the innocent individuals affected.
