Occupational Therapy Centralized Application System (OTCAS) Application (Due by 11:59 pm on June 1, 2024))

Complete and submit the OTCAS application (otcas.org). If you are applying as a combined occupational therapy applicant, choose the Combined Occupational Therapy (COT) Application.

Items required in the OTCAS application include:

• Official transcripts from all educational institutions where the applicant earned credit after high school. International Transcripts – Post-secondary transcripts from a non-U.S. institution must be submitted directly to one of four approved evaluation services for a detailed, course-by-course report. See International Admission Checklist for additional information. Applicants should allow 2-6 weeks for the evaluation and verification to be completed.
• Three letters of recommendation/evaluation through OTCAS.
• Observation/Volunteer hours submitted through OTCAS. A minimum of 20 total observation hours of volunteering or observation with an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant in at least two different settings must be completed within three years of the application deadline. Applicants who complete OCTH 100  or OCTH 201  at Eastern Michigan University will be recognized as having completed the observation requirement for the application.
• Supporting Documentation through OTCAS, including completed experiences, achievements, licenses and certifications, and a personal statement.
• EMU Occupational Therapy Program Supplemental Processing Fee of $35, paid through this link.
