MGMT 668 Corporate-level Strategy


This course develops an understanding of the value of managing multiple lines of business under the ownership of one corporation (a diversified firm). The course provides a unique perspective on how corporations create synergies across their portfolio of businesses. The goal is to manage the diverse portfolio of businesses effectively, allocate resources among them, and recognize limits to the scope of the diverse portfolio. The importance of business ethics and the role of corporate governance in generating corporate reputation are also covered as pressing contemporary issues in corporate strategy.
