BIO 328 - Microbiology for Health Professions This course examines the biology of bacteria, viruses and other microbes including their structure, metabolism and methods of control. Causative agents/mechanisms of common diseases as well as principles of immune control are also presented. This is a lecture/laboratory course with an Allied Health focus.
Credit Hours: 4 hrs Prerequisite: ( or or (BIO 110 and BIO 111 ) or or ) and ( or ) and (Level 2 or higher math). (“C or better” now required in all prerequisite courses) Previously Listed As: BIO 328 - Introductory Microbiology; MICR 328 Terms Offered: Fall, Winter, and Summer
Notes: This course does not apply on the curriculum in clinical laboratory sciences, but will count as an elective towards the biology major or minor
