DANC 350W - History of Dance: Prehistoric to Renaissance (GEWI)

A study of the historical development of Western theatrical dance from prehistoric times to the Renaissance, as well as the aesthetic, political, social and cultural contexts associated with the dances of these periods. Satisfies the first semester of a two semester writing for dance majors.

Credit Hours: 3 hrs
Class Restrictions: Junior standing or instructor permission
