PHIL 390W - Phenomenology (GEWI) The course attempts to trace the history and development of the phenomenological movement from its origins in the notion of the intentionality of consciousness, beginning with the work of Edmund Husserl and continuing with the later “existential” developments in the field by such thinkers as Heidegger, Sartre and Merleau-Ponty.
