PHY 325 - Methods of Teaching the Physical Sciences A study of strategies and procedures used in secondary school teaching. Students will be provided with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the newer science curricula; visit secondary school classrooms; present classroom demonstrations and conduct laboratory work; learn to use modern teaching aids, especially the computer, in classroom teaching; and develop means of evaluating cognitive and affective learning. Two recitation and two laboratory hours per week. Open to prospective teachers following the junior-senior high school curriculum who are majoring or minoring in integrated science or a physical science.

Notes: Not open to students on academic probation. Students only have the choice of a methods class if they are an Integrated Science Major.
