BIO 328 - Microbiology for Health Professions This course examines the biology of bacteria, viruses and other microbes including their structure, metabolism and methods of control. Causative agents/mechanisms of common diseases as well as principles of immune control are also presented. This is a lecture/laboratory course with an Allied Health focus.

Prerequisite(s): (BIO 105 or BIO 106 or (BIO 110 and BIO 111 ) or BIO 252 or SPMD 202 ) and (CHEM 120 or CHEM 122 ) A minimum grade of “C” is required in all prerequisite courses
Concurrent Prerequisite(s): an ACT Math sub-score between 19-36, an SAT Math sub-score between 520-800, a Math Placement test score between 83-120, a STAT course 100-499, or a MATH course 100-499
Notes - This course does not apply on the curriculum in Clinical Laboratory Sciences , but will count as an elective towards the Biology Major or Biology Minor
