WGST 243 - Black Women: Politics and Racism This course examines American politics as it relates to African American women. The course analyzes ways in which political issues affect black women differently than African American men, white men and white women. Considerable attention is given to the definition of the political realm as opposed to the nonpolitical realm when discussing groups traditionally marginalized or excluded from political life.
