WGST 362 - Black Women: Religion and Sexism An introduction to the social and political role of Black women in African American religious institutions. Particular attention will be placed on how African American religion has limited the power of women. Additionally, the course will examine the historical evolution of the various major black denominations in America and their political and social roles in African American communities.
