CAE 538 - Advanced Mechanics of Materials This course covers advanced knowledge of mechanics of materials. The emphasis will be given to the practical treatments of stress, strain, deformation, thin shells, thick-walled vessels, flexural stresses, theory of failure and contract stresses that are important in engineering design. A term project is included for students to apply theories into practical industrial applications.
