SWRK 650 - Policy Issues in the Health Care Setting This course will cover historical developments in the formation of mental health and substance abuse policy in the United States. Current policy directives will be analyzed with a focus on their impact on society in general and specifically on the severely mentally ill, those with dual problems of mental illness and substance abuse, people of racial and ethnic minorities, children, the elderly and women.
