TS 505 - Introduction to Technology and Society Introduction to issues and analytical frameworks pertaining to technology and society. Through interdisciplinary contemporary and classic readings, discussions (online and classroom) and research, the class will explore the intellectual, cultural and ethical issues concerning the relationships of technology to society; emphasis on examination of workplace technology, information technology, instructional technology, medical technology and agriculture biotechnology with a focus on ethical dilemma arising from ill-conceived technology design and use.
