This course will provide students with an athletic training experience under the direct supervision of a certified athletic trainer. The content of the course will involve situational orthopedic assessments (upper & lower extremity), therapeutic modalities skill assessment, assessment of pharmacological knowledge and application, and skills assessment associated with advanced medical emergency situations. The course will also provide opportunities for skill development in the areas of strength & conditioning, rehabilitation techniques and recognition of medical conditions.
