BIO 328 - Microbiology for Health Professions This course examines the biology of bacteria, viruses and other microbes including their structure, metabolism and methods of control. Causative agents/mechanisms of common diseases as well as principles of immune control are also presented. This is a lecture/laboratory course with an Allied Health focus.

Prerequisite(s) (BIO 105 or BIO 106 or (BIO 110 and BIO 111 ) or BIO 252 or SPMD 202 ) and (CHEM 120 or CHEM 122 ) A minimum grade of “C” is required in all prerequisite courses Concurrent Prerequisite(s) an ACT Math sub-score between 19-36, an SAT Math sub-score between 520-800, a Math Placement test score between 83-120, a STAT course 100-499, or a MATH course 100-499 Class-Level Restriction Undergraduate standing
