BIO 328 - Microbiology for Health Professions

This course examines the biology of bacteria, viruses and other microbes including their structure, metabolism and methods of control. Causative agents/mechanisms of common diseases as well as principles of immune control are also presented. This is a lecture/laboratory course with an Allied Health focus.

Prerequisite(s) (BIO 105 or BIO 106 or (BIO 110 and BIO 111) or BIO 252 or SPMD 202) and (CHEM 120 or CHEM 122) A minimum grade of “C” is required in all prerequisite courses
Concurrent Prerequisite(s) an ACT Math sub-score between 19-36, an SAT Math sub-score between 520-800, a Math Placement test score between 83-120, a STAT course 100-499, or a MATH course 100-499
Class-Level Restriction Undergraduate standing
