ESSC 327 - Soil Science


This course will introduce methods of soil description and classification, and discuss processes and products of weathering , processes of soil formation, and factors influencing soil formation from a geologic and geographic perspective. Through classroom and laboratory/field experiences students will learn practical applications of soils in geologic and environmental studies. Lecture:3 hours per week. Lab: one 2 hour period per week.

Credit 4 hrs May be repeated for additional credit
