HIST 450 - European Military History, 1815-1945 This course will examine the European art of war from Napoleon to the end of World War II. Topics include the Boer War, Russo-Japanese War, World War I, Spanish Civil War and World War II. A key question will be the role played by new “hardware,” such as rifles, machine guns and the tank.
