HIST 451 - History of the First World War 1914-1918 This course will offer a detailed look at the origins, course, and results of the so-called “Great War” from 1914-1918, a conflict better known today as the First World War. Special attention will be paid to the military campaigns of the war, with particular emphases on the role of the new industrial technology upon military tactics and operations.
