LITR 251 - The Bible as Literature Introduction to the literary study of the Bible. The Old Testament is represented chiefly by specimens of narrative and prophetic writings; the New Testament by selected incidents, parables and sayings from the life of Jesus as portrayed in the synoptic gospels. Discussion of Biblical influences upon English and American literature.
