ARTS 255 - Introduction to Time-based Media This course introduces students to basic concepts and methods commonly used in the production of time-based media as it is employed in an art context. The course provides a technical foundation for subsequent time-based media courses by introducing students to a variety of techniques used for the creation of screen-based works of art such as non-linear video editing, sound, and video compositing. The course also introduces students to historic and contemporary practitioners.
