DTC 302 - Nutrient Metabolism: Macronutrients The biochemical and metabolic processing of dietary carbohydrates, fats and proteins, as well as their functions within the human body. Emphasis is on the biochemical reactions involved in nutrient digestion, absorption and metabolism, including their relationships to nutrition status, human heath and disease.
