SOCL 311W - Aging and the Life Course [GEWI] Aging is viewed as a life course process. We focus on social and cultural aspects, noting attitudes toward aging, assessing how aging experiences are affected by social location (gender, race/ethnicity, class), and elaborate the social construction of age including implications of population aging for individual and societal well-being.
