HLED 493L4 - Internship in Community Health Education [GELB]


This 250- hour community health education internship provides students with a culminating opportunity to practice competencies associated with the areas of responsibility of a professionally prepared health education specialist. Students will maintain a part-time workload in a department-approved public health/community health setting under supervision of a community health education preceptor and faculty internship coordinator.

Credit 5 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit

Prerequisite(s) a minimum grade of “C” in all of the following: HLED 130 , HLED 242 , HLED 250 , HLED 260 , HLED 270 , HLED 345 , HLED 355 , HLED 371 , HLED 380 , HLED 490 , and HLED 495

Corequisite(s) HLED 494
