ARTS 201 - Painting I An introductory course stressing the basics of oil and/or acrylic painting, with major emphasis on an observational approach to subject matter. Students are provided opportunities to experiment with a variety of techniques and materials, and they are introduced to conceptual and formal aspects of painting as they pertain to their work and the works of various artists throughout history.
