MATH 108 - Problem Solving and Number Concepts for Elementary School Teachers


The course examines topics in the elementary school mathematics curriculum from an advanced standpoint, with an emphasis on conceptual understanding and problem-solving. Topics include number theory, real number systems and their properties, algebra concepts and functions. Required of all students in the elementary education program.

Credit 3 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit
Grade Mode Normal (A-F) Course Rotation

Prerequisites - Level 3 Math Placement , (MATH 098 with a “C” or higher ), (MATH 098B with a “C” or higher ), (MATH 104 with a “C” or higher ), (MATH 105 with a “C” or higher ), (MATH 107 with a “C” or higher ), (MATH 110E with a “C” or higher ), or (MATH 118 with a “C” or higher )
