MATH 401 - Mathematics and Its History for Elementary/Middle School Teachers Topics in the evolution of mathematics from ancient times through the present, with an emphasis on connections with the elementary school curriculum. Development of numeration systems, algebra, different geometries, calculus; including the contributions of different cultures in the development of mathematics.
