HIST 452 - The Second World War This course provides a broad overview of the origin, course, and impact of the Second World War in Europe, the United States, and the Asia-Pacific region. Topics include the impact of the First World War; the rise of imperial Japan; the development of military technology and its effect on strategy; the home fronts; the evolution of tactical doctrine; and the influence of racial ideology on Nazi war aims.
