HIST 446 - History of African American Women


African American Women’s History chronicles how black women served as agents of social change in their lives, throughout the communities, and across the United States from the seventeenth century to the present. Students will examine black women’s experiences of slavery, Reconstruction, Jim Crow, the Great Migration, and freedom struggles. Cross-Listed with AFC 446  and WGST 446
