CURR 505 - Curriculum and Methods for Teaching in the Secondary School This course focuses on curriculum and teaching strategies that enhance learning at the secondary level. Students will explore curriculum approaches, teaching and instructional strategies, and classroom management. Students will become familiar with the ways in which secondary schools function, both within their buildings and within their broader communities. Current issues affecting the secondary classroom are examined. This course provides students with an opportunity to develop and evaluate standards-based instructional and curricular materials. Course also includes a planned practicum experience in a school classroom.
