BIO 328 - Microbiology for Health Professions


This course examines the biology of bacteria, viruses and other microbes including their structure, metabolism, and methods of control. Causative agents/mechanisms of common diseases, as well as principles of immune control, are also presented. This is a lecture/laboratory course with an Allied Health focus.

Credit 4 hrs Normal (A-F)
May not be repeated for additional credit

Course Rotation: Fall, Winter, and Summer

Prerequisites - (BIO 105 with a “C” or higher BIO 106 with a “C” or higher BIO 110 /111  with a “C” or higher, BIO 110 /112  with a “C” or higher, BIO 252  with a “C” or higher , or EXSC 202 with a “C” or higher ) and (CHEM 120 with a “C” or higher  or CHEM 122 with a “C” or higher ) and (Level 3 Math Placement , a “STAT” course 100-499 , or a “MATH” course 100-499 , Courses may be taken concurrently)
