MUED 220 - Music for the Elementary Teacher [GEKA] A course to prepare pre-service teachers to successfully use music as an integral and meaningful part of the elementary school curricula. In this experiential class, students will acquire the basic knowledge and skills to help young children 1) use music as a means to express ideas, feelings and concerns 2) analyze music from both formal and contextual viewpoints and 3) develop an understanding of the unique role of music in human experiences, as well as the commonalities it shares with dance, drama and the visual arts.
Credit 3 hrs Normal (A-F) May not be repeated for additional credit
