HIST 552 - Europe Since 1945 Study of the political, economic, social and diplomatic history of Europe since the end of World War II, with emphasis on the Cold War, economic recovery and decline, the European integration movement, solidarity and dissension within the communist bloc, stability and unrest within the democracies, and the impact of U.S.-Soviet detente.
