PHY 581 - Mathematical Physics Advanced mathematical topics for the physics student, with applications drawn from the field of physics. Vectors, matrices, tensors, partial differential equations, contour integration, calculus of variations, integral equations and transforms, eigenvalue functions, perturbation and group theory, special functions.
