PLSC 544 - Foundations of the Nonprofit Sector Provides grounding in the historical and philosophical foundations of the nonprofit sector in American society. Using an interdisciplinary approach, this course helps students understand the evolution and purpose of the nonprofit sector, its distinctiveness, its structure and extent, its capacities and limitations, and its challenges.
