AFC 542 - Race and Crime and the African American Experience This course will provide a comparative analysis of the experience of African Americans and other groups with the criminal justice system in the United States. Students will critically examine historical patterns, theories of race and crime and the effects of race and class on social attitudes and criminal justice practices.
