NURS 608 - Health Promotion and Disease Prevention This course provides an overview of health promotion and disease prevention issues of the adult-gerontology population. Students will be introduced to relevant theories and research in the field and Healthy People 2020 will serve as a framework to prepare Advanced Practice Registered Nurses to provide interdisciplinary, prevention-oriented care for individuals and communities.
