ME 211 - Statics


In this course, the fundamental principles of static equilibrium will be studied with an emphasis on engineering applications. The construction of complete and accurate free body diagrams and the corresponding application of the equilibrium equations are integral parts of this course. Topics include force resultants, moments, load analysis, trusses, frames and machines, friction, centroids, and moments of inertia.

Credit 3 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit

Prerequisites - MATH 120 with a “C” or higher  and PHY 223 with a “C” or higher
