AVFO 175a - Private Pilot Certification The student will receive dual instruction in flight operations to achieve solo flights in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration requirements. The student will then receive dual instruction and conduct solo practice in extended cross-country flight, and flight maneuvers. At the conclusion of AVFO 175b, the student will be prepared to take the oral and flight examination for the Private Pilot Certificate. AVFO 175a, AVFO 175b, and the Private Pilot license are required for admission into the Aviation Flight Technology [BS] program.

Prerequisites - Corequisites - AVFO 170 Other Restrictions - Students must complete the following in order to receive department permission to enroll in the course, registered with the School to begin flying, Student Pilot Certificate: FAA Class I Medical, and TSA Background Check & Drug Screening. Department Permission is required Restriction by Major - Restriction by Class - Undergraduate standing
Additional Information - Additional flight fees apply. The AVFO 170 corequisite is only required for Aviation Flight Technology Intent students, all other students will require an override to enroll.
