ANTH 437W Kinship, Marriage, and Social Organization [GEWI] This course emphasizes Variation in family groups, larger descent groups, marriage systems, and kin terminology, with an emphasis on how these strategies are related to property ownership, labor, and gender. The course also emphasizes the historic and ongoing factors behind changing kinship strategies.
