AMA 450 Managing the Production and Distribution of Arts


This course provides the students with an overview of the methods of art production and distribution. Students will be able to understand the skills required to value and understand the components of artistic creation and the best strategies to disseminate this creative work into society. In this course, students will critically examine the creative process and the conditions required to successfully present this work.

We will discuss the conversations that are being raised regarding issues such as intellectual property, censorship, art value, art commercialization, and supply chains.

Through the study of case studies and hypothetical situations, the students will apply learned concepts to possible scenarios. During the semester students will work toward creating a fully developed proposal for a special event or exhibition.

Credit 3 hrs May not be repeated for additional credit
