EDLD 550 Introduction to Student Affairs in Higher Education This course is designed to provide an introduction to the field of student affairs in higher education. The course provides several introductory elements: an historical overview of student affairs, professional ethics, theoretical approaches to student learning and an introduction to the various functions and activities associated with student affairs. The course is designed to examine student affairs in public and private institutions as well as community colleges.
