FLAN 540 Cultural Issues in Teaching Languages This course explores the intersections of language, culture, identity, and learning. Candidates examine the ways in which culture impacts classroom activities, the ways the target culture can be taught in language courses, and ways to explore the cultural values of language learners. An asset-based approach to supporting and advocating for multilingual learners is promoted.
