GEOG 585 Geographic Information Systems Applications A lecture and computer-based applied course using geographic information systems to understand common geographic and geologic problems in local government and private industry. A significant part of the course consists of analyzing existing real-world applications that develop intermediate and advanced GIS skills in data collection, manipulation, analysis and presentation.
