HIST 535 History of the Family in the U.S. This course grapples with the ways that family has evolved from the seventeenth century to the present. Special emphasis will be placed on how race, gender, class, and sexuality have shaped the families. Topics include changing ideas of family life, girlhood and boyhood, divorce, interracial marriage, and marriage equality.
Credit 3 hrs Grade Mode Normal (A-F) Course Rotation Every three to four semesters
