HIST 547 19th Century Ideological Background of the Russian Revolution Russian thought from the accession of Nicholas I (1825) until the Bolshevik Revolution. Major themes to be treated are the Slavophiles and Westernizers, socialism, anarchism, nihilism, populism, liberalism and conservatism.
