PHY 641 Modern Optics A combined lecture/laboratory course including but not limited to scattering and reflection of polarized light, polarization devices, beam optics, resonators, lasers and their spatial and temporal characteristics, Fourier image processing, holography, and optical phase conjugation. Lecture: three hours per week. Laboratory: three hours per week.
