PHY 664 Advanced Mechanics I This course introduces the Lagrangian approach to classical mechanics and then applies it to advanced problems. Other topics may include the kinematics of rigid body motion, the Hamiltonian approach, oscillations, and classical chaos. Symmetries and conserved quantities are examined. The course will include computational activities.
