EXSC 515 Diabetes and Obesity This course provides exercise science and pre-health professional students with an in-depth study of diabetes and obesity. Students first learn about (1) the etiology, or cause; (2) the pathophysiology, or disordered physiological processes; and (3) the epidemiology, or incidence, distribution, and possible control of diabetes and obesity. Students then use the primary literature to better understand the role of lifestyle modification in managing both conditions and improving potential morbidity.
