TSLN 520 Language Assessment and Advocacy This course introduces teacher candidates to assessing the English proficiency of speakers of other languages (ESOL) based on current language-learning research. Teacher candidates learn to examine existing language tests, develop language tests and alternative assessments, practice administering assessments, and advocate for fairness in the assessment and evaluation of ESOL students.
