NURS 653 Advanced Adult-Gerontology Nursing I - CNS This course focuses on diagnostic reasoning and treatment decision-making using nursing theory and research. Diagnostic reason and treatment decision-making assist the skilled clinician in making advanced clinical judgments of evidence-based nursing interventions with acute and/or chronically ill adults from young adulthood to geriatric. The course combines theoretical content with student-selected and instructor-approved preceptor-guided clinical practice: two-hour seminar, three-hour clinical (180 clock hours precepted clinical).
